Pu'uhonua O Kuiaha

The mission of this organization is to preserve and protect the natural and cultural resources of the

Land Commission Awards of East Kuiaha and West Kuiaha, along with the greater ahupua’a, as a

unified Kuiaha in Hamakualoa, Maui by centering creating means of refuge, empowerment, and agency for the lineal descendants of the Land Commission Awards therein. The purpose of this organization is to provide resources, such as financial and programmatic support, genealogy research services, and relevant archival documents, to support the needs of the lineal descendants as they relate to preserving and protecting the natural and cultural resources of their Land Commission Awards and ancestral ahupua’a.
